GPRS of Texas Locates Conduits and Beams for Contractor - Dallas, TX

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted by a general contractor to locate the conduits and beams inside a concrete slab. The contractor was very concerned about core drilling because of the amount of beams underneath the slab and the amount of conduits already drilled through. They were required after drilling through multiple conduits by their client and owner of the building to have every drilling location cleared of all beams and conduits. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was able to come out and locate all of the beams and conduits successfully the very next day. Many of our clients core drill locations were directly on top of the beams but they were able to adjust them, making for a safe and cost effective drill.

Locate Conduit and Map Beams - Dallas TX  GSSI GPRS Scan in Dallas Texas

The pictures above demonstrate some of the markings that were located on site that day and represent the beams that were lying beneath the slab.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems used a GSSI 1600 MHz antenna for this application to locate the beams and conduits. All findings were marked directly on the concrete at customers request for easy interpretation. GPR was ideal for this application due to the active work site in the surrounding areas. GPR emits no radiation and is safe for others to work in the area near the scan location. A common concern for clients is our radiation. With our Ground Penetrating Radar it is absolutely safe and does not require stop work of any kind anywhere around the locations the equipment is being used or set up.
