Concrete Scanning for Rebar and PT Cables - San Diego, CA

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of Southern California was contacted by a general contractor in order to scan for rebar, post tension cables, or conduits in a concrete deck prior to coring (1) 3” hole for a new drain location. We scanned one area, approximately 4’X4’, and marked all findings on the surface with keel. In the areas scanned, we found that the slab was a waffle slab, with reinforcing spaced approximately 12” on center.

GPR scanning is a great tool to use to locate post tension cables, rebar, and conduits. It can also be used to scan for underground utilities prior to excavating or directional boring. GPRS has offices throughout the entire state of California and performs projects in cities such as; Murrieta, Menifee, Temecula, Escondido, Oceanside, El Cajon, La Mesa, El Centro, Palm Springs, San Diego, North County, Inland Empire, La Jolla, El Cajon, and San Clemente. Please contact James Petersen at 858-395-1085 or by email at James.Petersen@gp-radar.com to schedule service, obtain a quote, or to learn more about ground penetrating radar and how GPRS can assist in your projects.
