GPR Scan Void Locate - Ft. Worth, Texas

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted by a concrete lifting and void filling company to locate voids that existed just under the slab. The voids were created after flooding inside of the ER Unit of the hospital. The flood level was high inside the patience room creating great concern for the potential of underground voids after the water receded. This creates a big safety issue when it comes to people walking and working above the surface. GPRS came out and successfully located multiple voids in the area of concern for the contractor.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems used a GSSI 1600 MHz antenna for this application to locate the voids. All findings were marked with tape on the concrete at customers request for easy interpretation. GPR was ideal for this application due to the operational ER. GPR emits no radiation and is safe for others to work in the area near the scan location.
