GPR and Radio Detection Utility Scanning - Houston, TX

A general contractor in Houston, TX contacted GPRS about locating utilities in front of the office building of a major oil and gas drill bits and parts company. We used the GSSI 400 MHz antenna to determine the location of all underground lines within 3’ – 5’ deep, and used the Radio Detection RD8000 Line Locator to trace out any lines that give off a radio frequency, or electro-magnetic frequencies (high voltage electric lines).

Once the scan was complete, all of the electrical, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer lines had been located. We were able to save the contractor time and money by eliminating the risk of striking a utility line during the project, we provided the customer with detailed information on what was beneath the surface before they excavated the area.
