Unknown Void Located During Utility Locate - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems-Oklahoma works extensively with general contractors, engineers, architects, electricians, plumbers, environmental companies, etc. Prior to excavation, a local General Contractor contacted Jay Tate-GPRS Oklahoma to locate underground utilities and subsurface obstructions within the proposed excavation area at a construction site in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Multiple lines were located using Ground Penetrating Radar and the Radio Detection Device. In addition to utilities located an unknown subsurface void was located below an existing concrete tank pad. Since GPR shows data in real time, the results were communicated to the customer with the location and depths shown using pin flags and paint. The subsurface void was investigated and filled to prevent possible hazards associated with subsurface voids. A map was also provided with all the utilities placed on a map located at the excavation site. GPRS has the ability to provide a CAD drawing or basic map of findings located on a job site. GPRS provides knowledge of what lies beneath the surface. Using GPRS reduces risk and cost, promotes a safe work environment, and provides non-destructive testing by locating materials such as concrete, plastic, metal, steel, and pavement. GPRS has an extensive training program, with its very own training facility in Toledo, Ohio, all GPRS technicians must complete months of training in and out of the field. GPRS is a nationwide company with many technicians in your local area. Let GPRS help your company on your next project to prevent the potential of a utility strike.
