GPRS Scans for Post-Tension Cables Prior to Saw Cutting - Dublin, OH

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was recently called by a local contractor to new construction project in Dublin, Ohio. The scope of work on this project was to determine the location of any reinforcing steel or post tensions cables that could be cut during saw cutting to anchor a new door. GPRS, Inc. was able to use GPR equipment to accurately locate and mark out all reinforcing steel and post- tension cables in the proposed area. The depths of the post – tension cables were also marked directly on the surface to give the contractor peace of mind when cutting. The contractor was then able to saw cut and anchor the doors without hitting any steel to compromise the structure’s integrity. GPRS, Inc. was able to get to the job in a timely matter so the project could remain on schedule. GPR is an accurate and effective way of locating conduits, rebar, and post tension cables in a concrete slab.
