Utility Locating Prior To Excavating - Charleston, West Virginia

A client was excavating in the downtown Charleston area. They called the 811 number who then came out and marked utilities. Upon excavating they found the markings to be off and called us out to confirm other utilities within their scope of work. The client reached out to Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, who specializes in underground utility locating. William Johnson, who covers the Charleston, WV area for GPRS, was the technician on site who was able to assist the client with this project. He located the electrical lines in an alley way where they were going to be excavating. When completed with the scan the client wanted a detailed field sketch completed and a CAD drawing done. William Johnson is based out of the Charleston office and covers the state. He has worked in many WV cities including Charleston, Parkersburg, Beckley, Fairmont, and Huntington.
