Turbine Foundation’s Integrity Saved in Oklahoma

Turbine Foundation Scanned in Southern OK

Turbine Foundation’s Integrity Saved in OklahomaDuring the installation of a new Wind Farm in Southern Oklahoma, GPRS was contacted to map the rebar within a Wind Turbine’s foundation prior to collecting core samples. Using Ground Penetrating Radar, GPRS was able to save the integrity of the foundation and precisely identify the location of its reinforcement. Using this method of concrete scanning, Mike Kuebbeler of GPRS-Oklahoma was able to provide ¼” accuracy on center of the steel within the concrete. This accuracy allowed the customer to avoid any steel while drilling. After the process was completed, the results were marked directly onto the surface and communicated to ensure the outcome was understood.
