GPRS Concrete Scanning Helps Solve Historic Mystery at Pennsylvania Church

GPRS’ precision concrete scanning services recently discovered evidence of a long-forgotten time capsule sealed within the stone walls of a historic Pennsylvania church.

GPRS Project Manager Andrew Machemer was called out to Christ Episcopal Church in Reading, Pennsylvania, where renovations to the nearly 200-year-old church’s exterior had unearthed a curious-looking stone.

Church officials dug into their own archives and found mention of a copper time capsule possibly being sealed into the building at this exact spot. But all concrete information about the capsule had been lost to time, so the church reached out to GPRS to see if we could provide some clarity.
