• Client was preparing to demolish a nearly-70-year-old hotel on the Las Vegas Strip
• There were no accurate maps of the building’s buried utilities
• The hotel had undergone numerous renovations over the decades, so it was likely that there was a labyrinth of both active and abandoned lines underground
