Accurately map the subsurface infrastructure of the seven-acre site and deliver a CAD utility site plan via SiteMap® for the planning and installation of concrete foundations for solar parking structures enabled with electric vehicle charging.
TASK
GPRS Located, marked, and mapped all utility and sewer lines at the manufacturing facility, and provide comprehensive infrastructure data management for O&M purposes.
PROBLEM
- The manufacturing facility needed a permanent record of their 60-acre facility’s buried infrastructure
- Data needed to be secure, yet easily accessible for facility manager and their team
- The facility previously spent $100,000 on a full site scan, but the contractor left them with only the field markings and hand-drawn utility maps
Solution
- The manufacturing facility was familiar with GPRS’ capabilities, having previously hired us for utility locates
- Existing relationship between the two companies led to the manufacturing facility hiring GPRS to locate and map the entire facility’s buried infrastructure, and conduct drone flyovers of the site
- This accurate, field-verified data was uploaded into SiteMap® Pro, where the manufacturing facility has 24/7, secure access
